May 2015

On Saturday the 2nd I went to see Zachary play flag football.  Your mother forgot the umbrella, but I had a small one in my car.  You went with me to get it.  It was big enough for us to stay out of the sun.  I let you use my phone to play some games.  You were really bored.  Since this was an early game, and I had several things to do, I said that we would go out to lunch after Zachary's game next week.

On Saturday the 9th we went to lunch after Zachary's game.  I bought a Mother's Day gift for your mother along with a card for her from you and your brother.  I got her a floating chair for the pool.  On Mother's Day you and your family and Uncle Bruce came over.  This is the card you father and uncles gave me.

And the one you and your brother gave me.

During lunch I asked you when your graduation was scheduled.  You said  "In two years".

On Tuesday the 12th there was a talent show at school and you and your brother bounced on pogo sticks, holding hands and playing catch with a football.  Your mother sent me the video and I just loved it.

On the 14th some workers at our house found this  helamonster in our pool.

They used our pool net to get it out.  Apparently it's an endangered species.

Throwing up pool water.

After Zachary's graduation ceremony I went over to your house.  You wanted to show me your posters in your room.

On Memorial Day you, your father and Uncle Bruce came over for a BBQ.

I had put 2 bags of popcorn on two of the seats.  One for you and one for Zachary.  However, Zachary didn't come, because he was being punished for something.  Your dad had called me earlier to tell me he was just bringing you and that you could not find the $200.00 head set he bought for you.  He said he was going to sell Xbox things to recoup the money.  On the driver to our house he changed his mind.

So,  Mr. Bob made signs for the seats.

You picked this seat which is all yours when you visit.  Except when Bob's grandchildren are here.

Before and after photos of our kitchen.

You just loved the new kitchen.  The induction stove, the high tech looking hood with blue lighting around the glass and the trash and recycle cabinet.  My old recliner is now in my office and you enjoyed sitting in it while we talked about stuff.

And then in my new rocking chair.

Mr. Bob said you could have bubbles in the hot tub.

I asked you if you were still saying your prayers and your said "Yes, but you forgot one night and had a scary dream.

We had a putting contest and your father came in 1st place, you in 2nd, Uncle Bruce in 3rd and Nana in last place.  You and I had a play off of 5 holes and we tied.

I made you some pasta on the new stove top in a pan we had just gotten at BB & Beyond.  It has holes in the lid and a spout so you can drain pasta right in the pan.  I explained to you about how induction works.  It's all about magnets.

Here's come thing for you to think about.
