Back to school! Normally I'm really excited for this day but today I'm a little sad..... Had a great summer with these two and not ready to give them up to school just yet smile emoticon

On August 10th, Marcus, Uncle Bruce's son came for a visit.  Both he and Uncle Bruce stayed with me and Mr. Bob.  On Wednesday we went to see the DBacks play.

Drew: our Internet is bull crap Dad, when we're in our rooms we only get two bars on our iPad.
Brian : really Drew, there are kids that get no bars because they don't have iPads.
Drew : why do you always have to bring up the poor kids? Mom, dad's talking about the poor kids again.

I wasn't sure whether to crack up or be appalled at his spoiled attitude.

Me: ( thinking:, oh God, why is Brian never here for these things) just medicine for bloating and cramps
Drew: it says it's for periods... That's for girls.. Wait, do boys get periods? ...

Drew: Yes they do, boys get Pu Ber Ty( yes, he said each individual syllable), Girls get Pe RI Ods!!!!

Sometimes you just have to laugh!

Last month Uncle Bruce went to Niagara Falls to visit your grandfather.  He sent me these photos:

This was taken of Uncle Jeffrey, Uncle Bruce and your father in about 1968.

Mr. Bob and I have a new policy in the house.  Every time you don't put down the lid on the toilet you have to put a dollar in the "T" cup.

Beer pong practice for kids... Minus the beer! I should be worried!!

 

 

 

On Wednesday the 15th Mr. Bob and I picked you and your brother up at the Metro Station parking. This is you in the back seat with me. 

 

 

Once at our house you and Zachary started shooting shots of Coke.  The two of you had a riot drinking them.

 

 

Mr. Bob took us to McDonald's for lunch.

 

We watched a movie on the TV and then you and I played Wii bowling.  I had a 257 game and then you beat me the next two games.  I showed you how to take two steps an then release the ball and finish with you arm over your head.  That's why you beat me in those two games.

 

Before we took you back to meet your mother, we had dinner and Zachary made frosting and the two of you dipped  mini marshmallows on tooth picks into the frosting.

You are looking older and older.  So handsome,.  The girls are going to be after you in the next couple of years.

On July 21st Uncle Bruce and I went to Niagara Falls so he could meet his son and my grandson for the first time.  Marcus is an extremely nice young man.  He is getting married in October.  Your parents will explain all of this to you later.

On the 28th Uncle Bruce and I returned from a very good visit with Marcus.

On the 31st you and your brother were to come over for a sleepover, but Zachary didn't want to come because he said it was the last weekend before school starts.  So, I took you guys out to lunch at the Olive Garden.  We had a nice visit.
